A huge congratulations to all of my individual clients who completed the Dublin Marathon on Sunday.
Laura Ryan came home in a brilliant time of 4:04.47. This was a colossal 27 minute PB and builds on the 1:49 half marathon PB she set in the Dublin half marathon six weeks ago.
After a torrid four weeks of illness and injury, Galway native Michael Killeen performed miracles to even get to the start line. In the end he recorded a fantastic time of 3:44.32 in his debut marathon.
Clare man Shane O’Connell ran an outstanding PB of 3:30.46, building upon the half marathon PB he set in Charleville 5 weeks.
Fresh from her sub 90 minute half marathon in Charleville, Julie McCarthy set a new marathon PB of 3:13.36.
Sean O’Leary broke the magical 3 hour barrier with a time of 2:58.47 – a six minute PB on the time he set in Seville in February. Having coached Sean with the sub 3 target in mind for the past 26 months, it was a tremendous delight to see it come to fruition.
A huge congratulations also, to all of my group class participants who undertook the greatest of challenges last Sunday
